One day I am sitting on my computer and BAM!!

Something weird happens, it has been fast for a very long time, about 1 year since I added my RAM, and I am just sitting there and it is suddenly very slow and has continued to be slow for 2 weeks now. Not even slow, just not able to handle opening Microsoft word! It is very annoying. This has never ever happened before.

I think someone else might have accessed my network or something, becuase my Mozilla Firefox profile randomly changed and that is the first thing that spazzed.

Are there caches i could clear, or something I could do and how?
Are there any suggestions for how to fix the speed that has been so fast, and is now so slow?
 
Have you tried scanning your computer for spyware? A good program is Spybot Search and Destroy.
 
wow im not even done with the scan but i have 160 infected items, ut oh.

Most are L-Wire but 60 are deadly, when does the scan ever stop, at 16800000 items scanned?
 
yeah i fixed it!

I used Zone Alarm, because the stupid SpywareBot only scanned without buying


But ZoneAlarm is awesome!!! Get it for fun because it only targets the very tiny things that bog the system down, not a million cookies like SpywareBot.


ZoneAlarm rocks!
