Banned File Extensions.

I'm using the computers at my school and i can't download on them, a proxy site will allow me to view webpages and pictures but cannot download heaps of stuff. Only some file extensions are banned- the most common ones, the unconventional file extensions arent banned.

I was wondering if there was a free online storage that someone knows about that can 'upload' from the internet or something, or maybe a proxy that hides the file extension- somehow. The proxies i've been using will have all the mumbo jumbo as the address, not a file extenxion, but it still gets blocked! Is there a way to change the file extension without actually downloading it first? This is what the error comes up as:

URL: http://www.proxyj.com/index.php?q=aHR0cDovL3BhcmFkaXNlcG9rZXIuY29tL1BhcmFkaXNlUG9rZXJTZXR1cC5leGU=

Reason: Banned MIME Type: application/octet-stream /opt/sonar/sonar_http/etc/groups/19/bannedmimetypelist

proxj--thats my proxy (stating the obvious).

Thankyou for all your help.

Yes, you see i have access to my homes dial-up at school (boarding school) and I can play poker on that but the downloads take eternity--i want to download on the school's wirelss internet and use it on my own internet.
