For basic machine, you don't need to get a gpu.
PSU - I don't think you need 600W. CX430M will do.
CPU - Personally would go for AMD A10 5800K instead

As for the psu, yeah but for $10-15 diff. hmmmm :D Maybe I should save a couple of dollars.

I didn't even know what the AMD A10 was until you posted here and I googled it.... So it has a built in GPU nice.

So can you suggest a nice mobo to go with it. I've seen alot of micro mobo's for this cpu maybe that and get a smaller tower?

And I've read where they suggest getting a cooler for the processor. Maybe a CM212? or something else?

You've sparked some interest in me now. Something new for me to play around with :D :good:

Thank You.....

$452 shipped + case & cooler.

You know an mATX mb will work with larger cases or there's many mATX to chose from if you want a smaller case.

A8 - A10 both unlocked for oc and .2/.3Ghz diff so if you want to save the $20, or just get the A10. But A6-5400 would be plenty.

Faster RAM utilized by graphics processing.

Net surfer? Room for some storage. You probably have an external if you need more.

I have heard very bad stuff about the CX 430. Get a CX 500. Other than that, looks good, but I am pretty sure the H60 wont fit in the case without modding. If you need it, look at this thread for some help with ideas for fitting the H60: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1039596653

Used two or three of those CX 430s for builds now, not had a problem. Still going strong a year on. :)

I would say the CX power supplies are safe enough to use. I tend to use and recommend them to people.

You may want to get the CX 500 anyway just for a little bit of headroom though if you need it.

Okay, but of all PSUs I have ever seen, the CX430 has the most people complaining of whining.

I think the whine people hear may have something to do with putting too much load on the PSU. So if it has a lower wattage you're more likely to reach it's limit and cause it to whine.

That is a total theory though and I have no evidence. I run a CX600 and it's been great for almost 2 years now.

It's not load, in fact I have actually seen somebody with like a 150w build and CX 430 and it whined. It's not the whole CX series just the 430.

Well the two systems I used CX 430s with are fairly low power consumption systems and the power supplies don't whine at all.

I think Corsair recently brought out new CX models, maybe the older ones had the problem?

Yeah I ordered the CX430M from Newegg if that matters? And thanks for the heads up on the H60. I already read about the H60 and planned to drill out the hdd cage as I'm using a SSD.

I thought about it, but it's for my wife so no video games......

So I pick up the Mobo, CPU and SSD from Micro Center tomorrow. Is the MSI ok or do I need to go with the Gigabyte? The MSI has good reviews for this board whereas the Gigabyte has alot of DOA's..... Oh and last question. Should I go ahead an install my Crucial 64mb ssd or get a Samsung 120GB ssd. Either way I have an external 1 TB W.D. hard drive.

Both Gigabyte and MSI make good boards, get whichever is cheapest in your price range.

SSD wise, I always recommend going for at least 120GB now. 64GB is probably a bit on the small side. Assuming you're referring to the Crucial M4, the Samsung SSDs are a bit faster (I used to own an M4 and it was fast though, don't get me wrong).
