Well not my for grandparent's...
At my grandparents I have an eMachines 150DVD which won't work with the USB modem because it's my Linux box so I've been looking at a site which is fairly local and found this in the used laptops section:
IBM Thinkpad
Intel P4 Mobile 1.8GHz processor
256MB RAM
20GB HD
CD/DVD Rom
ATI Radeon 16MB Video
14.1" TFT display
Sound with 3.5mm headphone & mic jacks
Ethernet, Modem
2x PCMCIA ports
2x USB ports
XP Professional
Price: £249

It'll be used for internet, a little music, office (OpenOffice), E-Mail and perhaps the odd bit of Folding@Home. nothing too stressing but the Celeron rig isn't really up to much in terms of internet and F@H.
Would this work well for what I need and is it a good price? I was using a Celeron-M 1.4GHz today while my laptop (School only
) is in for repair and it wasn't bad. I'll upgrade the RAM methinks though to 512mb.
