How would i know what size battery back up to buy? is there some type of online calculator i can check out. Is there various things on and in my machine i can add up to figure out how much, i wanna buy two to protect my computers and i don't wanna buy one thats too big, thats a waste of money and power, and i don't wanna buy one to small that'll just hurt my computers. Well it really depends what you want to do... I mean do you want to run a computer AND large CRT for a few minutes, or simply have enough for software to kick in, save your work, then safely shut down your machine.

I don't really know what numbers would be best for what, but I do know adding a CRT will kill most any UPS :P

Yes..i want to have enough for software to kick in, save my work, then safely shut down my machine. I have a 19" LCD screen on both computers, and will be buying two UPS'

Well, I don't know how powerful your computers are and what power supplies they have, but if you don't mind allowing the software to do the work, you could just connect the computer to the UPS. Something like an APC CS 500 would probably do fine... But again, it really depends on your specs and all.
