Battery Draining Fast

How do I figure out why am I battery on my Google pixel 4 is draining so quickly? How do I determine if it's a hardware problem or perhaps some maliciousness software?

What do your battery stats say for application usage?

Given that it's about 3 years old I'd expect the capacity to decline.

It says 27% screen, 20% Google Maps as top 2.

Now that I recall, I think I changed a setting to stop the screen from being too dim. Maybe if I find that and change it back, the problem will stop.

Probably, since that's a quarter of your battery life being used on brightness.
