Battery MaxiMiser problem

On my Thinkpad R31 I have Battery MaxiMiser (battery meter/indicator) installed. When my battery is fully charged and I reboot the system, go into stand by or something and then come out of it the gauge will read 98% charged but its not charging and will not reach 100% unless I unplugg it for a while then charge it back up. Anyone know why this happens?? any other battery meters you would recommend?? thanx

Does the windows power meter agree with Maximiser? I think i had a similar problem (i have an R32 myself) but i used the latest version of Maximiser and didnt have problems after that

Yea it does. (currently) they both say 98% but the indicator LED is green :/ My version is 1.35. On occasion Ive happened to glance at it right as it jumps from 98/96 to 100 for no reason. if I unplugg it and let it go down 2 or 3% and then charge it back up it goes to 100% (for a little while) lol i dont know......

I dunno, i think my powermiser might do the same, dont know ... 2% isnt enough for me to get seriously concerned over IMO.

Sorry dont have a clear answer for you but with the R3x series of laptops there is something you might want to be aware of, dont use the battery in conjunction with the ACline for extended durations, you'll kill the max life of the battery (i.e., say your battery lasts 3hours, use the laptop with AC+battery ... after a few months your battery will only last you 2 hours)
