Battery Problem

My Question is with regard to my Acer aspire 5349, Right recently I replaced my battery and while using new battery my laptop hangs within one hour time, I have a doubt that my vendor has given me wrong battery say some other model of acer because in the new battery it is written “ Replace acer: 4551, 4551G, 4741 Serial but the serial of mine is different .” I argued with vendor he says there might be some problem with the laptop but the laptop works well with Adaptor.
Please confirms in this regard in written so I can show your mail to the vendor.

Well of course the serial number will be different. A serial number is unique.

However if you mean the model number is different, then that is a problem. I'm assuming you bought a third party battery, correct? If so, your best bet is to return it and buy a genuine Acer battery direct from Acer.

Second best result would be to buy one from a reputable third party seller like Laptop Battery Express.
