I have a macbook pro one day I was using it and realized while plugged in the battery life was dropping slowly 99-98-97 and while using it one day while installing office the battery life was very rapidly depleting so I called and ordered a new battery and so it started depleting rather quickly again the place I bought it from I got a floor model all they had left and they had left it plugged in 24/7 I don't know what to do
any body experience this before
know anything about it
thanks

could you please use punctuation (i.e. periods, commas) from now on, thanks.
batteries wear out over time, theres no stopping that, but you can take steps to prolong the functional life of your battery. you should regularly "exercise" your battery by letting it run dead/nearly dead, then recharging; if you dont use it you lose it. also, its a bad idea to keep it plugged in 24/7. i dont know why, but battery life declines more rapidly if always plugged in (this goes for computers, cell phones, ect). so, you can: take the battery out if always plugged; shut down and unplug when not in use, and run off battery every once in a while. also, if youre not planning to use the computer for a week or so, drain the battery and leave unplugged.
by the way, if the battery is not holding a charge, its probably time for a new one.

Lucky please be nicer to the members of the fourm. He said he bought a new one and had the same issue. Sounds like your charger may be part of the problem as well if its plugged in and charging it shouldnt be going down. Can you take the battary out and run the computer just on ac power?
