I went to install it, and, the main problem is, all I have on my C:/ drive is windows, and, there is only like 1Gb free space on it, and I want to keep all my installs ext... on my D:/ drive, but, there is no option to install it there, is there anything I can do?

I don't think you can. The D:\ doesn't support stored information well (unless you have a heck of a drive), and you def need more than 1Gb for BF2. Sorry, i don't think it'd be possible. Could be wrong, though

Where did you instal BF2 on?
also, make sure to click "Custom instal", then it allows you to instal it on a other location. But i think BF2:SF is automaticly installed into the BF2 folder,.. so if you have BF2 on the C disk.. you may have to uninstal it , and reinstal it on the D disk :)

Assuming his D Drive is indeed a hard drive it will store information just as well as any drive ;). Meanwhile it sounds like it "might" be a partition of his main drive.

In fact, your D:\ shouldn't have any free space

We have no way of knowing what his D:\ drive has in terms of free space. It could be a 500GB hard drive... He's not mentioned that part. You are assuming it's his optical drive but he did not say that.

What is your D:/ drive? I assume of course it's a hard drive :). Is it a partition of your main drive? (sounds like it is) is it a seperate drive?

I assure you that there should be an option when your installing the game to change your drive option. You might have to click on advanced install option though (it's been awhile since I installed that game).

Yes, my D:/ drive is a partition of my main drive. I installed BF2 on my D:/ drive, and I have the Special Forces expansion pack, but it tries to install on my C:/ drive. I have looked like 10 times, there is no advanced install option. I really don't get it.

It also seems amazing that the game BF2 is 1.6GB yet the expansion pack is 2.2GB?

There is no need for that language! LOL I'm joking of course :P. Sorry to hear about that but are you sure? what card do you have? If your playing BF2 then surely you can play an expansion for the game... it's the same engine.
