Hallo everybody. This is my problem. A couple of days ago i installed battlefield 2 on my comp and found out that it doesnt really work well. It starts fine, menu is ok. But when i start the game (singleplayer/multyplayer) it is extremly slow. It is like when i move i see the screen change after a second or two...not really playable...:(
I am currently running the game at max settings. It shouldnt be a problem for my computer but just in case i tried setting everything to minimum but still no help.
I am preaty sure that i have the latest drivers for my videocard(s), soundcard, motherboard and other hardware just did that yesterday.
Please help...

Yes the patch may help include support for your video cards, since the game came out before the 7800 had a 512mb. version, so the patch may include support for that card.

omg dude you have 4 virtual processors, too. with dual core, i had lots of problems before i read about the solution..

if the patch does not cure all your problems, or you start getting disconnected from games, try this -

ctrl-alt-del

go to processes

find BF2 - right click

go to set affinity

uncheck all the boxes except 1

this dedicates one core to the game

thanxs a million everyone!!! Got the latest patch for bf2...it worked better, but still sluggish, but than i disabled second videocard and it worked perfect...guess the game can't handle two geforce 7800 gtx videocards...
what do you know...sometime one is better than two ;)

Are you planning on SLI'ing it?? If not then you should be perfectly fine. :)

What do you mean SlI'ing it? My videocards are already in SLI...normally(when not playing BF2)

But you said "when I get my 6600" I thought you meant you were buying a new one. :P
