Battlefield 2 wont play

So i just installed it, and i go to open it, and i doublr click on the icon, and nothng happens (well actually, a screen tryts to pop up or something, because my screen goes blak for like 1/2 seconds)


anynoe have any idea whats goin on?
 
What's your computer setup? Did the file install all the way? Try re-installing it. Make sure that windows isn't blocking it.
 
im not sure which video card i have, but in front of my pc it says Intel Graphics media Accelarator 900- wih up to 128MB shared video memory!

well thats what it says.....im pretty sure that i read that you could play with 128mb
 
No I doubt you can play, even if it did work, you wouldn't get good performance with onboard graphics. It shares memory with the system instead of having onboard video memory. I highly doubt that it is suported. But get another graphic card and it should perform nicley.
 
yea am almost 100% sure that onboard graphics are not supported at all by BF2. if u were looking for a gfx card. First off check ur motherboard if it has a agp slot. if it does, and if u have a very small budget, get a nvidia 6600 gt, they sell for like 150. if that is to high for u, i woudl recommend a ati 9600xt, they sell for around 99 or less. but if ur a big spenda get a nvidia 7800 gtx for 500 :)

sounds like you have onboard graphics card and that will not handle bf2. Sorry bro but i think you gotta upgrade.
 
You can buy a nice card for under $200 which will run it fine. Try something like the Radeon 9600XT or the GeForce FX5250 (or whatever it's called).
 
the exact same thing happpened to me the thing with the big 2 comes up and then it goes black. Happened to me i went to the ati website and downloaed the latest drivers, havent had a problem since. O wait u dont have a video card nvm, well if u get one and that happens try the drivers.
