Alright...Battlefield 2 coming out in a little over 2 weeks!...I for one can't wait, just wanted to see how everyone else in the community felt about this one...

From all the videos the game looks absolutely intense..and the demo will be out friday(june 10), or so i hear  ...I sure hope so...only concerns are if my comp will run it...but even if it doesnt, i will upgrade it, cause this is sure to be one hell of a game...

Yall preorder it?..i sure did :D

My mistake : 1.4 shaders i ment...

Straight from battlefields website:

Ideal Minimum Machine:
-1.5 Ghz CPU
-512 Megabytes of RAM
-128 MB video card (requires support for 1.4 shaders)
-16x CD-ROM drive
-Directx 9.0b Compatible Sound Card
-4 GB free hard drive space
-MS compatible mouse
-Keyboard
-Windows XP

I think these specs are outragous for a game like this, first of all the graphics arnt all that good, doom 3 didnt even have 1.4 shader requirments and that was only released recently. Second, xp needs to be on the pc for you to run battlefield 2?? Someone tell me this game is a tool for a marketing technique, because this game shouldnt have requirements that high at all.

wow, those specs are high, although i would expect the CPU requirements to be higher.

CPU plays a lesser role in games then most would think. Video Card is usually what you really need...

Does the ATI 9800 PRO AIW support 1.4?

yes...I believe so

DEMO IS out, and I think the game is absolutely incredible...what are yall's feelings on it, better/worse then bfv and 42?

Actually it depends on the game. For instances, with a game like Half Life 2, if you have a fast cpu, u could prob. damn near max out the settings with a 9800 pro.....alas, i have 2 ghz with my 9800....must.....upgrade....

the actual specs for the game are

windows xp
1.7ghz processor
512mb ram
2.3gb space
dvd-rom 8-speed
128mb video card 1.4 pixel shaders
directx 9c

plus THIS GAME RULES!!!!!!

Just bought it the 4th of July and love it! my CPU is a piece of crap intel, but my 6600 can give me what my CPU cant. Great for the gamers who have better processors and video cards. . . awesome overall multiplayer gameplay! great game!

Its pretty awsome but right now I am playing guild wars. Battlefeild 2 is way better than the old ones though and thats saying a lot. The only thing I can say is that the classes arent very ballenced. The sniper sucks and the special ops guy owns.
