Battling with internet problems (please help!!)

Heres whats going on. Lately my internet had been randomly disconnecting on all 3 of my computers along with my xbox when yesterday it got very bad and it came down to staying connected for a max of 15-20 minutes. I assumed it was the modem because every time I unplugged it and replugged it back it I would get internet again. With that I went out today and bought a new modem, Motorola 2010-02, plugged it in and everything worked fine for about an hour. Then it disconnected again. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and I got the internet back.. So now I'm lost..

Oh and a bit of information, my old modem was a Siemens SpeedStream 4100B and my current router is a Linksys WRT54GS.

I will be glad to provide any other needed information.
 
This sounds similiar to the problem i used to have, i`m using the modem that came with my ISP, and everytime it used to go off, i`d have to undo the ADSL filter and or make sure the phone wire`s connected properly.
Then it`ll come back on.But luckily i have had to do it in ages, so i guess it must be to do with the cables becuase i`ve got a laserjet under my desk, and so i think it must have been the wires, as it`s the only thing that has changed.
