Hi!
I just finished a gaming build a week ago and everything was working perfectly good... I decided to go buy myself a new cooler so i could start overclocking my cpu. Now i am sitting here with a CPU that tops 80 at 100% load, The stock cooler was around 60-65... Does Anyone have experience with this kind Of problem?

I bought The Be Quiet Pure Rock and yes i used thermal paste

The CPU is a i5 4rth generation Modell K

What do you mean by load? Do you mean actual processor load? That wouldn't change based on a new cooler.

I used just a little bit of paste and yes the cooler is loose because i had too loosen the screw that much otherwise of the computer would not start.

I meant that the temperature had risen to 80 degrees celcius when stress testing.

You should not have to loosen the heatsink screws, that is most likely your issue. The heatsink needs to be tight against the CPU.

If your computer doesn't start with it full secured, something is installed incorrectly.

Max temp for that cpu is 72 degrees C. It really should be below 65 degrees when stressed. Something is wrong with your cooler installation.

Probably need to remove cooler and redo it. Something just isn't right. What paste did you use?

Tomorrow I Will do The whole process Of removing The motherboard and installing The cooler Again to see if i can maybe get it to sit tighter! I'll post The results:)
