First off, hello all. First post.
I have been reading and reading so I dont ask silly questions with my first build. I noticed in recent threads there is 1 particular for a recommended build with budget around $800.00. I'd like to attempt my first build with the following thoughts:
1. Budget around $ 1,200.00 US dollars.
2. Not much gaming, more for work. Although a nice video card wouldnt hurt
3. I have no software for OS.
4. I'd like to build it as future proof as possible and would really like a fast puter.
5. I have never built one but have installed a few CD burners and played with the guts of a few older computers so I do have a tiny bit of knowledge. I know what a Mobo and PSU look like anyway.
I would like to have a DVD burner and CD burner. I dont plan to use it for Home Theater but if I can get that in the budget, that would be cool.
I have read enough to know I will be ordering from New Egg. If you Veterans could assist with the parts, I'd certainly appreciate it and even drink a cold one on your behalf!!!
Thanks in advance. Its nice of you guys to offer the advice I have been reading. I know it takes time away from your schedule and you dont have to do it, so all I can say is I really do appreciate it.
EDIT:
I do have the Monitor, keyboards, mouse etc.
