Beep Tones - Please Help!!!

Hi, I have a desktop PC P4, 3.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9600, 200 GB hard disk.

Almost everytime I play games on my computer, especially those having high system requirements, or when I burn DVDs, or when I search for files in Windows explorer, when I watch TV via my TV card, copy large files....
to say it in one sentence: everytime I do something on my computer that has a large CPU/RAM usage my computer begins giving off those beep tones... they come out of the pc speaker and are something like this:

high tone (pause varies) low tone, low, low, (pause), high, high... and so on
so it does not have any regularities, it is ererytime different, but the tones have always the same length.
Sometimes when I work it simply gives one short beep tone and that's it.

It is very annoying. But the weirdest thing happened today when I played a game. First I was hearing those beep tones, and then my PC began to give a regular sequence: low high low high low high low high.... with no breaks between. It stopped only when I turned off the computer.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be????
Maybe it is the CPU overheating, but I don't think so.
It is worth to mention that it happens only in Windows, so it cannot be anything about the BIOS. Or?

Please help!!!!
Thanx in advance

Well you definitely have temperature problems. I don't know if that's what the beep tones are, but it certainly seems likely. 71C is WAY too high.

Open up your computer and clean out the dust, and make sure all the fans are properly running. You probably need a new CPU cooler.
