"?" before http when searching

This has just happened recently, possibly when I updated to IE 10 (why do I bother)
when I type in a web address and search, instead of Finding the website, a "?" appears before the http. I can still get website from my favourites OK.
IE 10 using Yahoo, Win 7
Can anyone please explain

Possibly this is part of the new IE10. but my Flash Player will not work either, it askes me to update it, but it still does not work, is IE 10 and flash Player incompatible
