Before I buy $1000+ Gaming PC!

Ok so before I order this I wanted to get some advice on cheaper parts for the same performance or better parts for same price etc. here is the list.

List:

SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTX50G 2.5" 50GB $180

Case : CoolerMaster Haf 932 - $140

Mobo : ASUS P6X58D Premium $309 or ASUS P6X58D $240(I dk difference,only dual ethernet?)

PSU: CORSAIR HX Series 750W (80SilverPlus) $140

CPU : Intel Core i7-930 $200

Ram: G.SKILL Trident 6GB 2000 DDR3 $190

Media HD: WD Caviar Black 1TB $95x2

VCU: Nvidia GTX 465 (Not sure which one to get any help?) $300?

BR Writer/Driver: LG Black 10X Blu-ray Burner $140

Extras (do I really need them?):

ZALMAN 9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler $53


HT | OMEGA CLARO Plus+ 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz $175

Im using this Pc For internet browing gaming and HD video Editing, may get an Capture card also. I kinda want it to be cheaper since there is 1600+ plus monitor keyboard etc.
Also is that SSD worth it? or should i get a 300gb raptor?

GPU - ATI HD 5850
RAM - RipJaws 1600MHz would be plenty

As for the HSF save some money and go with Prolimatech Megahelms or Arctic Cooling Freezer.

You will only need an aftermarket HSF if you plan to overclock and since you will be video editing it would be better if you overclock.

As for the sound Card Overkill
If you really need one get the Asus Xonar D1 it will be enough
 
Heatsink - I don't think ZALMAN 9500A-LED worth for its price.
I recommend you consider CORSAIR CWCH50-1/ProlimaTech Megahalems/ Scythe Mugen-2 SCMG-2100
 
Antec Makes really good PSUs and 750W will be good.
you require around 650W take 750W and you will be able to overclock extremely and also you will be able to overclock your GPU
 
Ok thanks .... It's gonna be 2500 with motitor , kb, mouse etc and I don't really want to spendthat much , what can I buy cheaper w/o sacrificing performance ? If I can't lmk thanks
 
Right now I'm trying to build a mild gaming machine for under $600.....
But I'm getting confused...Why does everyone seem to need extremely expensive high-end graphics cards? I'm going to use the 9800 GT for less than $80 and (I don't mean to sound like one of those guys that says "but I saw a video on youtube....") it seems that there are a lot of videos showing that graphics card playing crysis and other demanding games pretty well...Am I missing something? (If I'm not then you could just go for a cheaper graphics card)
 
Well, the more expensive GPU's really do offer greater performance, and usually higher DirectX support :)
 
You can drop the Sound Card and if you really need one go for the ASUS xonar D1 a really good Sound Card.
Then you can drop the trident 2000Mhz and can go for ripjaws 1600Mhz which are more than enough and you can always overclock them.
Then go for the HD 4850 it will make hell of a difference
