When looking on newegg's reviews about this board, I came across this review that scared me. In the review he stated that he had to run his memory at slower speeds. Will that be the case when I buy this board or does this guy not know what he is doing? Also, what memory would you recommend with this board, ddr2-800 or ddr2-1200? (however I see that corsair does not meke a ddr2-1200, just a 1250) Is this a good board?

Here is the review:

Well, number one, Asus motherboards tend to be really picky as far as what memory you can use. I have used corsair memory for all my asus motherboards and have not had an issue yet. You always want to be as close as possible to the fsb of the cpu for your memory. They work together better that way. Its possible that person had some bad ram or not compatible ram.

So which corsair memory would you recommend? This Corsair board's Memory Standard is DDR2 1200. But Corsair does not make a DDR2- 1200.

I also have Corsair RAM with my Asus P5K Deluxe. I'm using XMS2 DDR2 800 and it runs great.

DDR2 1200 isn't a standard, it's basically just overclocked RAM, so theres no point in spending lots more money on it. If you really want faster RAM, then overclock it yourself.

What about the review? Did you read it? Will I be forced to run my memory at a slower speed?

I did not read the review, but I have a good idea what's going on. By default it will run the memory at DDR2 800, even if you use DDR2 1200 RAM. The reason being that as I said earlier, DDR2 1200 is not a standard, so you would need to manually go into the BIOS and set it to that speed.
