Being Redundant?

I just posted about my motherboard and got a closing fro Praetor saying it was redundant? what the hell??? what the hell could be redundant about that?

I think he was saying you should have posted it under this thread http://www.computerforum.com/showthread.php?t=2458
but he messed up and posted the link for the new thread making himself redundant by mistake lol, probably just a simple mess up and I agree that it should have been brought up on the first thread asking about motherboards instead of creating another one.

it was 2 totally different topics. the other one was for someone else on a different budget. i wasn't asking about the Soyo for him...for me.

different subject...it just seems the same. :)

1. Damn near all AthlonXP boards are under $100 (unless you start wackin nifty gadgets on them) so reccomendations for one are applicable to the other
2. One guy asking about a AthonXP mobo in thread A ... and asking about an AthonXP mobo in thread B ... coincidence that i noted it was the same person, i rarely note th author. And in context of point #1, the thread was redundant.
3. Perhaps i should have merged it. Oh well, you have an explaination as to why so its not imperitive to merge anymore
4. Corrected the link in the closed thread ... thats what happens when i get lesdystic with my copy-pasting
5. Im not having a power-trip however (a) the only people i have to justify actions to are the other admins/mods etc (who can undo any changes ive made etc) (b) my decisions are (i) well inteded and (ii) well founded and (c) if you've got a complaint the ideal thing to do is to PM me or another member of the admin/mod team and it'll get dealt with as opposed to making a "challenge thread" because really, I'm the only person who can tell you why i closed a thread without a shadow of doubt.
Have a nice day.

wasn't complaining...just questioning. and btw, if i have a question, i rarely look for other posts dealing with my issue...i just post.

that is ridiculous. thats why we need admins/mods to clean up after us. do a lil help for the board and research and search..dont just create more junk unless you cant find an answer somewhere else. thats why theres a search button and thats why we keep old threads...
