Hi I need some major help, I am trying to configure a Belkin N150 wireless Modem Router to a laptop using AOL. It's for a mate and I have had to bring it away to my house due to spending far too many hours messing about with it at his.
I am able to get on the Belkin page using 192.168.2.1 to try and change settings but I honestly don't have a clue. It was up and running once after a very long phone call to Belkin, but on trying to make this thing wireless I lost that connection too.
It would appear I have the very same problem, or atleast I think so.
My old PC is dying and so I bought an old one of a friend with MS Vista. I established that my version of AOL and modem weren't Vista compliant and so I bought the N150 router.
I've disconneted my old PC and in another part of the house run through the "system setup" on the new PC. When I try to log on with my AOL username and password it keeps rejecting it. I know that there isn't a problem with the telephone port because I had used my old PC there (with the old modem). I wanted to avoid lugging the new PC to where the old one currently is but it looks like I will need to, at least it rules out another possibility. Thing is I'm not trying to set up a network, once I get the new PC working, the old one is going to "Silicon Heaven"
