BenchMark

Also keep in mind that by overclocking your videocard too high as to cause it to get hot will decrease your performance and greatly shorten the life of your videocard.

yea, and what about my thermaltake comment...will i be able to overclock it even more with that massive fan :D

Assuming it would work with your video card then prob. :-).. More cooling means you'll be able to get a higher overclock.

how many more mhz do you think i could add to my core speed with the Thermaltake Giant III Exteme from my orignal overclocked settings of 334/475 with my stock fan.

Really dont know.. Every card is different. for example you can have two of your cards that are virtualy identicle in every way but one may overclock 100mhz and the other 200mhz for example.

so basically it also depends on my computer, tempurature in my room, ventilation etc. But do you have a estimate in general of how many more mhz people get by adding new cooling systems.

Honestly I haven't a clue because I've always used stock cooling and havent done much research on the subject but i'd imaging it would be enough to make it worth the effort in most cases.

The most I've ever done was overclocked my video card and temperarily overclocked cpu through FSB and Multiplyer change on stock cooling so it was for a short period :-).

and also does anyone know for sure if it will fit the nvidia Geofrce fx 5500...BTW it says universal clip for nvidia but no specifications

The description "universal" suggests yes but not necessarily :-).. best thing to do I guess if you cannot find an information then take a close look at it and then your card and try decideing with some ol fashion commen sense and make sure you can return it before you purchase it just in case it doesn't work out for ya.
