Bent Pentium E2140 Pin fixed by weight of CPU

A pin in the CPU socket got bent but it works fine?

Recently I made a pin in my e2140 CPU (LGA 775) socket bent and I just put it back on without fixing it. I was making sure if the computer still works well while the pin (only one) is still bent. The temperature of the CPU was same as last time .
I checked the thread in this forum about fixing the bent pin by using mechanical pen but when I tried to check on the CPU socket, the pin was back to normal! I think this happened because of the weight and pressure of the CPU - it's a little bit heavy even though its small.

Is there still a problem with my CPU? Even though the pin was fixed by the weight of the CPU.
Do I have to double check?


FYI
My CPU temp is 49°C ~ 52 °C (core 0 and core 1) when I'm using the internet. nearly same as when the pin wasn't bent.

As long as the pin didn't break off, you should be fine. However, I think you may be getting higher temps then normal with the cpu though. Was the processor originally installed and then you removed it? If so, did you clean off the old thermal paste and apply new? Are you sure the pin is straight and went in the socket correctly?

The CPU was originally installed before I removed it. I did clean off the old thermal paste and apply a new one. And I am sure that the pin went straight and went in the socket correctly. So, is my pc fine? Is the temp still going to be high??
 
Temp should be fine. However, I feel that temp is high for that type of processor. What type of heatsink/fan are you using?

I dont know the Fan's model name and brand. I dont think it has a brand.
All could I tell u is the RPM of the CPU fan. Min. RPM is 2343 and MAX is 2410.
 
52c is rather hot for an idle temp. Even my i7 idles in the low-mid 30s.

Get a better cooler and re-apply your paste.

Also, run a cpu burn in program to check the actual load temperature. If your seeing anything around 80c theres something wrong.

BTW, the weight of the processor is irrelevant as the LGA socket has the metal bracket which applies pressure to the CPU against the pins for a secure connection.
