Hi, I am building a pc for myself for the first time and the question I am asking is....
I went to install my cpu sempron processor into the socket on my mobo and realised the cpu would not go all the way in on one side.
So I looked on the bottom of the cpu and I had noticed some bent pins so that's why it would not fit...
I read in some manual if there are some bent pins you'll will need an experienced technician to re-straighten them...
However I found a small key to get in amongst them and tried to straighten them. I did it as best as I could then went to try and put it back into the socket. The cpu dropped straight in as it should and so far the pc had fired up and everything seems ok so far.
I have only got as far as putting in my mobo, cpu, ram, graphics card, case fans and monitor so far... There is things showing on monitor about cpu, settings etc..
Finally the question is: Do you think my PC will be OK? Is it worth proceeding?
And do you think I am a lucky chap with what I did to my cpu?
thank you..
