best 775 cooler?

looking for a new 775 cooler,everyone always says Zalman, but can anyone reccomend a specific model number? at what kind of temps ar eyou idling at with it? im planning to use it with my new q6600 core 2 quad after price drop

Thermaltake ultra 120 with a high cfm 120mm fan is the best cooler. zalmans are overpriced piece of junks. I used to have one but my golden orb is holding just fine and a 20 dollar difference lol. Im going to watercooling next tho

what idle/load temps are you getting?

Zalman's aren't overpriced pieces of junk. I should know, since I have one.

I use the Zalman CNPS9500LED and it works wonders on my overclocked Intel C2D E6300. I get idle temps of around 26 - 28*C and load temps of around 34 - 36*C.

Ive never had a ultra 120, my buddy does, i used to have a zalman but got rid of it.

tuniq tower 120's are supposed to be right up there with zalman if not better. thats what i'll be getting.

http://xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/ has a lot of good reviews and most of them include overclocked processors so it really pushes the limit for the coolers.

i say ultra 120.

oh wow. guys, be sure to check out the Combo Deal on the heatsink w/ a fan. go for the $67.99 ($3 more) instead of the $64 (free fan) one because the 120mm fan included for the extra $3 has a pci fan controller and it hooks up to the motherboard with temperature controlled rpms...just look at the spec lists of the two fans included in the various combos and you'll see.

I'm buying this to overclock a Q6600 to 3ghz
