you may have seen my other posts about mobo's mainly cause im looking for a new mobo a 775 one to join the intel core2 duo league(use 2 use 939(a8n32sli deluxe)(well still am until i buy a new board)) so i have 3 boards in mind
-Asus P5W DH deluxe
-Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6
-Asus Commando
i ll tell you the up's and down's of them.
Asus P5W DH deluxe
pros -(main things i liked) easyerly overclocked, stable , Digital home features, remote, wi-fi, 2 ide,
cons - , no proper support of ddr2 800, no sli(i prefure sli over x-fire).
unsure's- highest fsb, i've seen on some reviews they only got fsb of 390 with a E6600 and they said the highest the fsb could go on the board was 450fsb, but on another website they said they got a E6400 to 3.64 ghz a bit strange concidering the E6600 should be better than the E6400, other thing is how well it supports ddr2 800
Gigabyte GA-N680sli-DQ6
Pros -(main things i liked)sli, easy 440 fsb with the E6600 with muiltyplyer of 9(3.96ghz),4x gigabyte lan(good for lan with hub or switch for small net works),
Cons - 1 IDE channel(as im upgrading i have a few IDE hdd's), chipset heat(dispite all the cooling on the board) heat seems to still be an isue with this board, doesnt support alot of after market heat sinks.
Asus Commando
Pros -(main things i liked) fsb up to 650mhz, extreamly overclockable,
Cons -people cant seem to get it over the 500mhz mark , 1 ide channel, no sli
Well the IDE problem i guess can be fixed with a PCI, IDE controler with the 2 boards that only had 1 ide, if the P5w DH delxue was capable of actually getting 3.68ghz it would be great.
so what do u guys think?
