Best 8800GT to get?

I was looking at these two cards, both at pretty nice prices.

First the XFX GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog 512MB GDDR3 at £94

and Secondly the BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 at £118

Which is the better card overall? Also how does the normal Alpha DogXXX version? I saw a detailed review with FPS results on the XXX version and want to know how much difference there is between them.

I'm open to suggestions too, if you know of any better bang for buck 8800's out there my price range is £80-130 :)

Oh and also this random 9800GT, seemed pretty cheap. It's BFG too.

Tell me what you think

I would tell you to buy a regular 8800GT and overclock when you think that games are getting laggy. Those versions are just pure scams. You can overclock it to the same speed and clock with the regular ones.

Agreed, get the cheapest 512MB 8800GT and you can overclock it if you want. I've noticed no difference from overclocking though.

And do not get the 9800GT, it is exactly the same thing performance wise, but costs more.

Ok. I think i'll still go for a brand like XFX or BFG, prefer the look of them and extras you get. I'll take another look around :)

UNLESS he wants to go Hybrid SLi.

P.S. eVGA is better.

The 4850 is at least somewhat close to the 8800gt, although decently better. the 4870 is just a silly thing to suggest :)

I have an XFX 8800gt and I got it even tho it was more expensive then the rest of the brands cos i love XFX haha.
As someone else up there said, dont waste your money on a pre-overclocked version. I mean, if they happened to be the same price then go for it, but as thats not likely, you may as well save your money and overclock it yourself which is very easily done.

Dude.... that's atleast $100+ difference. Stop smoking weed and come back into the reality.

Why don't show some respect man....

Don't you ever accuse me of doing something that you don't know about. You don't know me and have no right to say something like that,.

Wow... it seems like you can't handle jokes on the interwebz.

No one is going to agree with me but I'm just going to put this out there.

I just got this and am very happy with it. The last time I checked it was one of the cheapest 8800GT's, so that solves that issue. It also has the highest clock, so you don't have to worry about voiding warranty by overclocking this high. Also have overclocked shaders. Has a larger fan to help cool the overclocked card, so in a sense, if you want to overclock this high it might be better just to go with this. Also comes with audio cable for HDMI output to TV.

Plus, who doesn't love LED's? Haha if you don't agree that's fine. Just putting this out there.

Asus En8800GT which i have, but get the one wity the glaciator cooler, runs 40c on idle some days here which is great.

or XFX ,BFG.
