Hey. I have an old, crappy Dell GX260 (full size), and I'm trying to find a card that can handle FSX. What's in it currently is an BFG branded Nvidia 4xx series, or something like that. I'm not a computer gamer, which is one of the reasons I still have this ancient computer. Either way, my existing card will not really run it. Since AGP is obsolete, and pretty much discontinued, I'm having a little trouble finding the best one.
So, what I've found. There's the ATI 9550. 256mb of ram, 8x. It's pretty cheap and common. Looks marginally better than mine. The next one I came across was an ATI HD4670. WAY better specs than the 9550, but it almost looks like something that's not compatible with my fossil of a computer. It looks like I'm pretty much limited to ATI, as Nvidia stopped messing around with AGP. There's just so many of these things, some are branded by other companies, some have identical specs but look completely different. Video cards are over a little over my head.
Help? I just want to play FSX again.
