Best AGP card

What you guys think it is? I have a 9800Pro right now on a Asus NF7-S Motherboard... looking to do cheesy upgrade to make gaming a bit easier.

7800GS i think is what it was called... its basically a 7900GT but AGP
 It's not even as good as a 7800GT PCI-E.

The best would be either the 7800GS or x850XT PE. The ATI card is about just a good a performer, but costs around $100 less.

well, like i said, its a Gainword 7800GS or a 7900GS or something for AGP.... it has a 7900GT core... its about 8% less fast then a PCI-e 7900GT

I know they have one of those out, but you can't find them at any store. So if your comparing what the other 99.9% of the 7800GS's, there not as good as a 7800GT.

Just to let you know, I have the x850XT PE for AGP, and I love it. It plays games much better then my 7600GS used to (obviously), and I get similar scores in 3DMark when i'm comparing it to my friends 7800GT.

I looked at newegg, and I didn't find any X850Xt
I found 6800GS for $159.99, and as I know 6800GS can be unlocked to 16 pipes http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814141039

Also I found 7800GS for $229.99, it is the best AGP card on the market

First of all, 7600GS is not high end card.
Second of all, X850 may get the same score in 3D mark, but 7800GT will give you better performance than X850XT PE in gaming.

X850xt PE performs similar to 7600GT, some games run better on X850xt PE, some games run better on 7600GT. But between 7600GT and X850xt PE I would choose 7600GT because it has new technology and it can be overclocked more.

Yes I think it is twice as good, but when you compare video cards you need to look at benchmarks, not at that site you posted. These are just user rating.

The X850XT (PE) can be hard to find for AGP. An X850Pro would be a good alternative. Also unlockable, cheaper than a 6800GS and a better performer as well.

I think he was referring to the spec vs. spec analysis, not the user review

Thats actually what I did. I bought the x850PRO on Newegg for around $150 a few months ago, and unlocked it to an x850XT PE.

If you unlock it does it's name change to x850XT PE ?

See for yourself :D
