Best AntiVirus software ever?

Is there a BEST Anti Virus software out there recognized by most? One program where most people will agree is in fact the best etc etc?

Can you list for me the best Free anti-virus program & the best anti-virus program you must purchase? I seem to have an affinity in buying the best. Although, if the best is FREE that would rock too.

So does anyone know which is considered to be the one three three seven of all Anti-Virus programs?

IMO, the best paying version, is the premium version of Avira.

i say Kaspersky is the best for Paid.

i had a nasty infection,well several and Avast free or AVG free did not get rid of them.

soon as i installed Kaspersky it picked it up and removed it.

I agree with Nevakonaza, Kaspersky is good if you can afford it.

I'd go with Either Kaspersky and Nod32, or ditch Windows and switch to Linux.
