What do you guy's feel is the best bang for the buck ATI card?

Im building a new PC and decided to do AMD + ATI instead of Intel + nvidia

So im new to ATI and was wondering what you guys think is the cheapest card with the best performance.

What kinda price? For The $50 mark a GDDR3 HD4650, if you spend more around $100 a 4850. For less than that even, the 4550 is a decent budget card.

Probably about 100 bucks.

How does the 4850 compare to the GTX 260?

GTX260=similar, GTX260core216 beats it though. What kind of mobo are you gonna be using? Just make sure to get one thats crossfire capable so you can add another one down the road..;)

dude i'm not saying don't go with the 4850 cause it's a GREAT!! card, i'm running a 4670 and play at 1440X900 and max alot of games, but my recommendation is the 4830 or 4770 cause you'll be playing every game you have on max, except for crysis.. .

Running at 1360x768, I see no point in upgrading from an 8800GT. Completely not worth it until you get a high resolution monitor.
