I was thinking and i was wondering at what point is the biggest bang for your buck reached. By this i mean how much money does it take for the least amount put in gets you the most performance. When i typed this out it sounds kind of confusing i hope you guys understand what i am saying.

Yea i guess im looking for at what price point your computer would have the performance balanced with cost.

it depends what is the use of your pc.
You don't need a superfast cpu if you are just surfing web

I'd say you'd get optimal performance per pound, bang for buck, whatever, around the $1000 price range, with an i5-760 maybe

Hmm, P55 mobo, i5-760, and HD6850/6870/GTX460 1GB/460 768MB it would be prolly

The 1055T is really good value for video encoding and stuff, but for gaming, the i5 for sure.
Unless you get a G6950 and clock it so high you beat a stock i7, or something insane
