Hi guys. I'm going to buy a graphics card next month, I currently have an hd4670. So my question is what's the best card my current processor can handle? (phenom x4 9550 @ 2.5ghz - that's the old phenom - so i'm afraid of a bottleneck with current gpus)

I'm gaming at 1680x1050 and i rarely use filters. My options here in Argentina are hd5770, gtx460 (768mb) and a lot of previous generation cards.

Tank you very much.:D

The ati 5750 and 5770 are your best bet and are not very power hungry. I would say if it acutally is a quality PSU that would be the most i would risk. But most people don't run those cards on less then 40 amps.

Thanks.
Do you recommend some particular 5770 cooling design? standard or for example the vapor-x from sapphire...

Well vapor-x I hear is very quiet but I have no direct knowledge on it. Stock GPU is freaking horrible loud so it can't be any worse.

Go to a site like Newegg.com and search the comments on those cards and see what others have to say about noise. Heat wont be a issue unless you plan to overclock so either card will be fine.

You can buy Molex to 6 pin adapters,

But what PSU do you have...just because its a 500W does not mean its any good,Unusual for it to not have a 6 pin connector lead either.

It's ECO 500, similar to this one but with 32A instead of 49

Last year i had a generic PSU with 17A (the same CPU but with a 8600gt) that i replaced because the fan broke. But everything was working perfect.
The 8600gt needs the same power as the hd4670 to work. With this PSU i have 15A more... right? And if i unplug the hd4670 its like 20A free...

Today i read that the gtx460 needs at least a 450W/24A PSU. So i don't understand why you tell me that a 500W/32A PSU is not good.
