What are some other companies besides these that are legit and allow ou to customize some or all the parts to buy your pc.

Dell.com
HP.com
Ibuypower.com

build you own...it is much cheaper. If you don't want to look up a guide on building PCs then alienware.com and voodoopc.com are pretty good. All overprice their items.

I have never attempted to build a pc on my own... cOuld I do it all by myself and not break anything without any experience at all

Well i'd probably recommend doing it yourself or getting a friend to do it for you and yes id probably reccomend all of them over Dell/HP

Dunno but im quite sure you'll find people who like and people who dont like the said companies. :)

true... would you say I should be looking at to get a faster processor or better graphics card if im using this for gaming/tv purposes

I recentaly put together my own computer with no prior experience. I had it up in a few hours of work (+ the time it takes for Windows to install -_-). I ran into no problems, besides a faulty case switch which was fixed.

Fasterr/better compared to what?

If you got the cash, Voodoo PC is the best.
As long as you realize that's an entirely subjective statement....

I just recieved an IBUYPOWER.com pc about 1 week ago... here are the specs I got in my system...

- Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 nVidia nForce4 Chipset
-Amd athlon x2 4800+
-250 gig harddrive, i shoulda got 2 74 raptors in raid, but, thats ok.
-Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX
-2 Gigs Kingston Hyper-X Ram
-Dvd Rom and 2nd DVD-RW/CD-RW
-7.1 Creative Soundblaster soundcard
-6 in 1 memory card read(internal)
-550W Power supply
-NZXT Trinity Case(black with one side glass panel)
-Green lights
-logitech wireless keyboard/optical mouse
-2 extra case fans with green lights
-TWO DIGITAL tempertaure readers mounted in/on case(one in the top CD/DVD type slot, other built into bottom front of computer, they monitor different parts of the computers temperature.

This has to be the best computer I've ever had, its basically the best computer you can order right now, other then overkilling it by adding 2 7800's in sli or other small things like that. I've had zero problems with it, of course its only been a week, but I use my computer constantly and its been running great.

cost approx 3,000

When I went to voodoo, and alienware, and got the exact same specs for my computer, the price was 1,000 to 2,000 more, I buy power was one of the more reasonable places to buy a computer, also, they DO NOT OUTSOURCE their customer support, everyone you talk to is in the united states, unlike alienware where they are in india or somewhere and u can't understand them and they can't understand u.
