I'm sorry but Sony makes crap. Some years ago they made some of the best stuff and they think that their company name will carry them on. Sony is also a multi national company, having HQs all over the world, though they were founded in Japan.

Ahead of what? The economy? Technology? Ahead in what sense? They have more people over there for sure.
 
So, what do you (or anyone else) suggest in getting?
Or better yet, should I Buy what ever you (or anyone else) Chose or Build one Myself?
 
desktop - build yourself

notebook - Mac/HP

when building yourself you get to chose the parts you want, it is a ton cheaper and it is fun to put it together
 
But, um, dose Building cost More then Buying one Yourself (Already Configured) (This goes for Both Desktop & Laptops) :confused: ?

thats not true at all...sony makes some of the best technology in the world. tvs, computers, mp3 players, and much more...and their laptops are pretty reliable and great

Having personally repaired sony equipment and worked with it professionally, it is of my opinion they make crap that is over priced. I think blu ray is retarded, I think the mini disk was crap, and I think that beta max was crap. Their laptops are okay but I would much rather have an HP business class or a mac because those are built better.

I used to work for a company that did warranty work on HP, Compaq, Gateway, Sony, emachine, Apple, etc. I have taken all their laptops apart and repaired all of them.

Their TVs, digital receivers, mp3 players, etc are far from the best on the market and IMHO, they are all over priced.
 
^　I'm not a professional but I still stick with Sony even though it's overpriced. So far all the Sony products I bought have performed quite well and are very durable. They are not the best value for the money but I like the output I see. All my Sony stuff I bought in Japan so I don't know how their products from other countries are, though. I heard they have stricter quality control in Japan.
 
Well, I also heard that Sony's Laptop (Or for other Laptops) batteries Explode or something.
So, I don't know (:confused: ).

I know toshiba is not the best, but it is what i have, and the only computer i have ever had. I gotta represent.
 
Well, if there is a SUPPER (And I mean :D SUPER!!! :D) Expert out there, that knows the BEST choice (Ever :D !) for a Laptop or a PC Computer, then let me Here It and Know It :D:D:D!!!!!

And there is no "supper expert" that can tell you that. Although there are some self-proclaimed ones, nobody really is.
