Best computer for under $500??

Hey guys I am new here. I am looking to replace my old dead Desktop. The only game its really ever used for is Everquest2. Other than that I use it for surfing, email, etc.

I want to get the best possible Desktop (I have a monitor, keyboard, mouse already).

Any suggestions?

well what is the main purpose for the new desktop? want to be able to play a few games? or just plain Emails, Surfing the webs and documents etc?
