Best computer setup?

I have a Packard Bell

40gb hdd
256mb RAM
I have an intigrated video card at the moment and want to get a new one also of course update the RAM and hdd, but by how much.
All I know about the video card is that it runs SIS drivers, as I am not on my computer at the moment I won't find out until later.
What is the best setup for all your computing needs, I would be a big gamer if my computer had the potential but it doesn't.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's gonna be hard to upgrade the graphics card to something that will perform well in games, as I doubt it has PCI-E x16...also, the motherboard may have a limitation as to how much RAM it can have.

Replace the Motherboard if this is the case? Or not worth it... its not too old last year it was bought!
