Ok, I looked at the $500 thread and it's not too helpful... Mostly just noobs arguing with eachother.

Things I want:

A nice monitor (I dont care if it's LCD or not, just as long as it's big)
Keyboard
Mouse
Really good CPU
Able to play Counter Strike: Source and World of Warcraft
I also need all the other shit a computer needs... (case, harddrive, powersupply, motherboard, video card)

All under 700 dollars.

I am not looking to buy a computer from one of you or get one made.

Thanks. :-)

someone whos first post is to ask people to help him with something simple shouldnt be calling people noobs.

Where do you live? Maybe if you live near a pc shop you can buy parts from there, so no shipping price.

I asked about those because the video card should be stressed more than the cpu here if you want to play any games at all.

I can't hop on newegg and give you a list of specs cause my internet is way too slow, but i'll list a few things you should be able to buy.

I doubt you can go conroe with 700 bucks, so lets go with a...
AM2 3500+ ($91)
7600GT ($150)
1GB DDR2-800 ram (~$100?)
get a ~$70 motherboard.
40 bucks on mouse/keyboard
50 bucks to get a monitor
200 bucks to get a case, powersupply, harddrive and cd drive

edit: Guys..let's stop fighting and play nice :)

Thanks for the advice, but I'm looking for a CPU already put together from like a company or something. I was originally going to get an eMachine at Wal-mart, but my online friends told me, "Oh hell no!" So... I joined this forum for some advice...

Do you know what CPU stands for? we thought you were talking about a Central Processing Unit, or the processor, not a prebuilt computer.

What you want is a pre-built tower, which some people improperly call the CPU. So if you are going to do that, I would go with a Dell or HP. I don't know what models off the top of my head. Just look for a decent CPU (Processor) and video card, and it should play those two games fine. I;ve never played them, but I think they arent very graphic intensive (correct?) so just a basic or decent CPU will do fine. With your budget your looking at like a P4 3.0Ghz, something in that area.
