best desktop to buy ?

I want to buy desktop . which one to buy HP or gateway or other? I want to buy for my home. I want to spend up to $900 doller. I have monitor ,keyboard ect. i will prefer that can burn hd ,blue ray movie to dvd.please tell by model number thanks
 
I know everyone is going to say build your own, and they are 100% correct. I have owned many HP's (currently 2 laptops and 1 desktop) and will never purchase from them again. I am slowly putting together the components for an HTPC build (it will be my first), and when my desktop finally fails, I'll build one of those as well. That's just my $.02 worth.
 
I am not tec. to build my own. I did bought HP 13 months ago now motherboard is gone. I can build one. thanks
 
Repair your existing one may be a good idea.
Can I assume you are not gaming? And you are just burning DVD, not burning blu-ray disk?
