best firewall

Ok, we have a cisco pix 2 firewall. we want to upgrade b/c it is going a bit bad. what is the best hardware firewall out there that it in the price range of 0-1000. +- 500. 0 being like a opensource one.

Dump Symantec! What OS is this for Windows or Linux? For Windows there's a good pair of freewares known as Jetico Personal and Commodo. Trend Micro offers some excellent retail products including antivirus. Another rather recent freeware for adware/spyware removal offers a mild firewall in the Spyware Terminator.
