yeah he plays loads of pc games, and i dont know the differnce between those 2 types of montiors, im new to computers, well kinda lol

Anyway, i assume you thinking of a flat screen becasue at the moment your bf has a huge crt.
This is going to be used for gaming then you will need to choose a lcd montior with a good response time 12ms or below.
