best free anti-spyware ?

and yes, i did a search. and this topic didn't bring back much.
so, what is a guy to use ?

I have found with my experience that no single one is the best. I believe you should use many of these together as some catch things others do not. Also if you are looking for a free antivirus check out AVG: http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

i ran spybot. and it just pulled up some cookies. i just got this desktop, my brother built it for me. i trust him, but at the same time, i don't trust anyone. i'm sure these scans would find an installed program to track me, right ?

he put symantec on here. i don't know if its registered or what. i have avg on my laptop, works good.

They are designed so they watch and remove any known programs that send information about your activity, aka cookie trackers.

I think AVG Anti-spyware

I think AVG Anti-spyware is the best spyware. kaspersky Spyware is also good..
