Best Game plot or storyline?

Im trying to find a game with a really good plot... Games I played in the past with great plots were , Metal Gear Solid, indigo prophecy, final fantasy X, Dreamfall, Bioshock,eternal darkness,God of war,Zelda,

Anyone else have something in mind... ?
 
KOTOR 1 comes to mind. The Revan plot twist was so great. Hmm... MGS always has a couple head-shakers, I wouldn't be surprised if Otacon said something like this while codecing,

"What do you mean you don't have a penis? Does that mean you're a...?" "What? A women?! Of course not, I'm a clone, we don't have.. genitalia." "Oh Snake.. I'm so-" "Don't say it! It's a distraction I can't afford on these types of missions. Let's get back on subject. This guard I just knocked out.. Do you think he would taste good?" "......".

Metal gear solid.. Best. Plotlines. Ever.
 
games with good storylines,.. time to got old skool ^^

Wing Commander IV, The price of Freedom. Its still the game with the best storyline I've played so far.
 
Counter Strike has to be the game with the best story. Just kidding! :p

I agree with Half Life as having one of the best stories. I haven't played Half Life 2 yet for some reason...
hmmmm... F.E.A.R.'s story is interesting even though it isn't finished yet. PROJECT ORIGIN!! FTW!!!

I liked Quake 4's story... I think... :p

speaking of FEAR, does anyone know when its supposed to come out??! 1 & 2 were AWSOME!!! want to play the next....
 
kotor... thats the star wars game... Is that a FPS ?

Is that for PC?

I havent beat epsode 2 yet but it looks pretty good... ahh you really liked FEAR? I thought was kinda creapy but the plot was beat
 
fear was ok but the ending of the game and exp pack sucked so hard... the first one especially...

hl2 was good and ep1

Kotor (knights of the Old Republic) is a Rpg. It uses the rules set of a D&D like game, with a third person camera. You basically walk around different planets you can travel to in your starship, talking to people, choosing what to say, to be evil, good, or somewhat in between. There's the awesome battles, blasters, katanas, med-packs, thermal detonators, even lightsabers for those in your party who're Jedi.

Anybody who like RPG's should give Kotor a roll, it was a critical success, and what I consider one of the best RPG's. Bioware's next project, Mass Effect, Is released TBR nov 20. It expands on almost all the ideas the put forth with kotor, Gameinformer got to review it and gave it a 9.75 saying it's, "a huge step forward for video games", and that it "rings in a new age of interactive storytelling." Needless to say i'm getting it.
 
so you think kotor is def worth getting ? Can I get that for PC? like D2D or for xbox 360... yeah fears ending was terrible... lol its no spoiler... the games ending was so bad
 
Aye KOTOR was quite enjoyable..

In recent years the only other two games with a good story and plot that I enjoyed were Fable - The lost chapters and Neverwinter nights 2

OTherwise i'd have to go back a way and refer you to the likes of Ultima 7 and Ultima 7 - serpent isle.

Oh an one of my favourites of all time.... System Shock (from the creators of Bioshock)
 
This is easy... MARIO!

Bad person kidnaps princess.. you go save her. Simple and straight to the point, cant fault it!
 
To all that said Knights of the Old republic, Totally agree that's the first game that came to my mind. :)

Yes it's definitely worth getting, and yeah you can get it for; PC, Xbox (not Xbox 360), and Mac.

I liked the Fable story line aswell, its probably my favourite.
