Best gpu I can add?

Looking to upgrade gpu on my ep41-ud3l board running a q6600 over clocked to 4ghz 8gb ram what's best gpu I can get for this system
 
You will need to upgrade your power supply before aadding a video card. What type of budget do you have?
 
You could theoretically add a 295X2 or something of that nature but you wouldn't really want to.

Budget will help, then we can pick a GPU+PSU pairing. Once you upgrade your platform (mobo+CPU+RAM) you could also migrate the new parts to that build too.
 
Video card - gtx970 or r9 290x

psu - Corsair cx750

Check your prices for those items and let us know if that is too high or not. What type of games do you plan on playing?
 
Are they compatible with my board and cpu? And that budgets fine what's top games I could run on that system with your recommended upgrades
 
Yes, they are compatible. You have a nice quad core processor there. If you can list what games you are planning on playing then maybe you don't need the best of the best video cards and power supplies. The games played determines what video card you need and the video card determines what power supply you need.
 
To get max settings on call of duty or BF then you would need that high of card most likely.
