Best Graphics Cards

Hi,

What are the top 5 graphics cards for Laptops and Desktops and how do they compare. As I am trying to decide whether to buy a laptop or a desktop, ideally want a laptop but only if it is quite powerful but need to learn about all the components I should be looking for.

I wish i had money >.> I really need to get a job then get some decent internet connection and new computer =]
 
ATI had the goal of beating the GTX 285 with the new 5870. And that's all it really did. The GTX 295 walks on the 5870 in some games...there are benchmarks getting posted hour by hour. Some games the 5870 pulls ahead and takes the lead. Kinda depends what you plan on doing with the card.

The 5870 will be a great single GPU card card...don't get me wrong. I think it might be the best single GPU card on the market. Think about that card in a Crossfire setup...that would be some great high res gaming!

I was not really comparing anything...just saying that the GTX 295 is still the best graphics card you can buy....single GPU or double GPU. The 5870 will be a wonderful card if they price it right.
