So as the title says, whats the best ISO file mounting software? I use Daemon Tool Lite. Do you know any better ones?

Virtual CloneDrive. Although because I run Windows 8 I don't necessarily need to use it, as it has native ISO mounting capabilities. I still use VCD though.

Been using Alcohol 120% for years. Not compatible with Comodo Firewall though which sucks. I use an older version of Comodo firewall so I can chose not to install the defense shield which is what messes with the Virtual drive.

Define 'best' ?

The integrated Windows one on newer versions of Windows is convenient enough for me. Double click ISO file on a remote SMB share and mounted. Doesn't get too much easier.

If you have Windows 8.1 you can usually just double-click on an ISO and voila the contents of the ISO is shown in Windows Explorer (if the ISO format is not associated with any other program) and that might remove the need to 'mount' the ISO if you just need to look at the contents of the ISO file.

But if you do need to mount an ISO I remember using Daemon Tools Lite which was free - might want to check that out.

I use powerIso and in the rare occasion it fails (mounting an image for virtual box) I use Damon tools and it works flawlessly

With Win 8.1 (and Win 10), double-clicking on an ISO automatically mounts it, no need for 3rd party software. Right-click on mounted drive and select Eject to unmount.

In addition to showing the contents it also mounts the ISO in the background :D
