Best monitor under $200

Hello fellow CF users

So as a part of my first build, I'm going to need a monitor..

I have (2) 15" square Phillips monitors currently but I'm looking HDMI and 21"+

My dad has a Samsung 23" LED monitor that he said he'd possibly give to me but I'm not sure he'll follow through as it's my currently my parents TV..

Ideas please?

Or you could get two monitors for a bit more, but it seems like a good investment to me.

It's a great monitor. The colors are vivid, and it looks good (hardware-wise) to boot if you care about that.

The Acer looks like a good monitor but if you want something with a slightly faster response time this ASUS 24" monitor has a 2ms response time (and is $190): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236102

Both are 1080p - that's usually the norm for 23" and 24" monitors. 1920x1080 is a very nice resolution.

ASUS is known for good monitors, as is Acer. Samsung is a good brand too, and I was very impressed with the last LG which I tried (in fact I've bought my brother one for his birthday in a few weeks time). My personal favourite is Iiyama but you don't seem to be able to get them in the States so I'm not gonna bother recommending them to you.
