in your opinions, what game has the best netcode? I'm gonna have to say far-cry because iv played that on a wireless dsl connection the a steady 70 ping! its beautiful
i know, that goes without saying i meant that when i said "steady" 70 ping, meaning that i got around 70 on most servers, and yes it does in fact mater how well the net code is programming, if its sloppy and bloated (halo netcode) than you wont be efficiently using your connection speed and will get a slower response time[-0MEGA-] said:The ping that is displyed varies based on the server your on, the current connection that your DSL is, and the signal your getting with your wireless card. It really doesnt have to do with the coding they used to make the game.
I mis-understood what you were actually trying to say. From what it sounded like in your original post, you had a low ping and just assumed it was because farcry was written well on the network aspect. I never played FarCry online, so I dont know how well it works with me, however I know that Halo does have a much higher average latency than most games, with my average being around 150-200ms, bs 80-10ms on most Counter Strike servers.lethalforce said:i know, that goes without saying i meant that when i said "steady" 70 ping, meaning that i got around 70 on most servers, and yes it does in fact mater how well the net code is programming, if its sloppy and bloated (halo netcode) than you wont be efficiently using your connection speed and will get a slower response time
sheeze....why does everyone on this forum assume your and idiot
Farcry? Farcry's netcode was horrible. Their CEO actualy admitted that when they were designing Crysis.lethalforce said:in your opinions, what game has the best netcode? I'm gonna have to say far-cry because iv played that on a wireless dsl connection the a steady 70 ping! its beautiful![]()
