Best PCI video card?

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

I have a rather old HP pavillion computer from around 2001 that currently has some ancient video card in it, Nvidia "GeForce4 MX 440".

This has worked fine for me up until now, where games and programs are asking for DirectX 9.0 and 3.0 shader somethings.. specifically Half Life 2: Episode 2.

My computer has a PCI port, not express. I'm wondering what would be a good upgrade for me.

I've done a little research and I think that the Nvidia 6200 has a PCI version and is the best currently, but I'd like to make sure and test my options. Do they even make these anymore?

Thanks again!

What are the rest of the specs for your PC?

The best PCI card is probably the x1550, then the x1300 and 6200. They're all overpriced and they're all very poor performing.
